1. Overview & who we are

LotteryKadai is a retail shop-management software application provided by Appspire Labs Private Limited ("LotteryKadai", "we", "us", or "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of our users in compliance with applicable Indian data protection laws.

This Privacy Policy applies to the LotteryKadai mobile application, our website, and associated backend services (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information we collect

We only collect the information necessary to provide and improve our shop-management services:

• Account Information: Your 10-digit mobile number (used for secure OTP sign-in and account access), your name, language preference (English or Malayalam), and your shop details (shop name, place, phone number).
• Shop & Business Records: Business records you enter into the app, including ticket stock, counter sales, winning ticket entries, distributor rates and payments, expenses, and customer credit ledger (khata) names or numbers.
• Device & Technical Data: Device model, operating system version, app build, unique device identifiers, notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver draw alerts), and standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, and error diagnostics) to keep the service reliable and secure.
• Payment Information: When purchasing a plan, transactions are processed securely through certified payment gateways (e.g., Cashfree Payments). We never store your debit/credit card numbers, UPI PINs, or bank account details.

3. Device permissions

To make shop operations faster, the app may request the following optional permissions:

• Camera: Used solely to scan barcode or ticket numbers quickly when adding stock or checking results. Ticket scanning is processed locally on your phone; no camera images are uploaded or stored.
• Contacts: Allows you to select a customer's phone number directly from your address book when recording a khata entry instead of typing ten digits. Your address book is never copied or uploaded in bulk.
• Notifications: Used to send draw result alerts, prize match notifications, plan reminders, and service notices.

All device permissions are optional and can be turned on or off anytime in your phone's system settings.

4. How we use your information

We use your information for the following purposes:

• To operate the Service: Managing your shop account, recording stock and sales, tracking khata, calculating distributor dues, and matching published lottery results against your tickets.
• To provide support: Helping you with account inquiries, customer support requests, and troubleshooting app issues.
• To ensure security: Verifying sign-ins via one-time codes, preventing abuse, and ensuring complete data isolation between different shops.
• To share relevant updates and promotions: To keep you informed about important service announcements, new features, special offers, and information about related products, complementary tools, or partner services that may benefit your lottery business. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time.
• To improve our product: Analyzing general app performance and usage trends to make LotteryKadai faster, easier, and more reliable.

5. How information is shared

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share information only in limited and necessary circumstances:

• Trusted Service Providers: Third-party services that assist in operating the platform—such as SMS/OTP delivery partners (e.g., MSG91), cloud hosting and database providers (hosted securely in India), push notification providers (Google Firebase), and payment gateways.
• Affiliates & Business Partners: We may collaborate with affiliated entities or trusted partners to offer you complementary features, related products, or promotions designed for retail lottery agents.
• Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Where disclosure is required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Strict Shop Isolation: A member of one shop cannot view or access another shop's records, sales, stock, customers, or accounts.

6. Data retention & account deletion

We retain your account and shop data for as long as your account exists, or as required by applicable tax, financial, and legal record-keeping regulations.

Deleting your account: You can delete your account and personal data at any time:

• Inside the app: Go to More → Shop settings → Delete account and confirm.
• Via email: Contact us at lotterykadai@appspirelabs.com with your registered mobile number.

Upon verification, your personal details, devices, and credentials will be permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days.

7. Data security

We apply industry-standard security safeguards to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure database hosting in India, session token rotation, and restricted administrative access. We encourage you to keep your phone locked and never share one-time sign-in codes with anyone.
